Mantra, a rock band hailing from Darjeeling and formed in 1999, has made a significant impact on the Indian rock music scene. Over the years, they have performed at various prestigious venues and events, earning numerous accolades along the way. Their impressive list of achievements includes winning 'Rock O’ Phonix' at the Alcheringa IITG cultural festival in Guwahati, Assam, and the Gangtok Rock Contest, where their guitarist Praggya was honored as the Best Lead Guitarist. In 2006, Mantra was selected as one of the top twelve bands in India to perform at the esteemed Great Indian Rock event in New Delhi. Additionally, their tracks 'Sanskriti' and 'Himali Nepali' received nominations for the Best Rock Composition at the Annual Hits FM Awards, further cementing their reputation as a leading force in Indian rock music.
