Narayan Gopal Guruwacharya, often referred to as "Swar Samrat" (Emperor of Voice) in Nepal, was a renowned Nepali singer, composer, and songwriter. He was born on October 4, 1939, in Kathmandu, Nepal, and passed away on December 5, 1990.

Narayan Gopal was celebrated for his melodious and soulful singing, and his songs left an indelible mark on the Nepali music scene. He played a pivotal role in popularizing modern and playback singing in Nepal. His songs covered a wide range of themes, including love, patriotism, and social issues, and they continued to be cherished by people of all generations in Nepal.

Some of his famous compositions included "Eklai Basda," "Sannani Aama," and "Yeti Dherai Maya Dii."
