Rockheads, formed in 2010, emerged as a pop/indie rock group in Kathmandu, initially starting their musical journey as a cover band in the vibrant Thamel music scene. Despite undergoing some early line-up changes, the band solidified into its first stable formation, featuring Bishesh Bhandari on vocals and guitars, Sanjay Aryal on bass, Nikesh Kc on guitars, and Samyak Pakhrin Lama on drums. Their participation in the Pepsi Voice of Nepal 2013 competition marked a significant milestone, where they secured a spot among the finalists with their debut single 'For My Love.' This achievement propelled Rockheads into the spotlight of the Nepali music scene, standing out for their upbeat pop-rock ballad in the midst of diverse musical expressions.

Following Bhandari's departure to pursue musical endeavors abroad, the remaining three members continued as a trio, temporarily refraining from releasing original songs due to their involvement in other prominent projects. The year 2020 brought a unique turning point for Rockheads during the global pandemic. Utilizing the quarantine period, the band decided to publish their previously unreleased material and rejuvenate their creative pursuits. The release of their first official single, 'Sidha Kura,' in August 2020, featuring founding member Sonam Pakhrin on additional guitars, garnered a positive response and reignited the band's momentum.

Unfortunately, a year later, guitarist Nikesh KC also parted ways, leading to Arun Tandukar taking over the guitar responsibilities. Dawa Sherpa joined as the keyboard and synth player, solidifying the quartet's current lineup. The group achieved significant success in 2021 with the release of their indie pop anthem, 'Ranga,' produced by Arun Tandukar and featuring lyrics by Swapnil Sharma. Despite subsequent changes, the band continues its musical journey, introducing new members like Ridesh Pakhrin Tamang, and releasing hits like 'Hajar Janma' and the reprised version of 'For My Love' in 2023, showcasing their resilience and dedication to the Nepali music scene.
