Story Behind
Rockheads is a Nepali pop/indie rock band formed in Kathmandu in 2010. The band began its musical journey as a cover group, performing across the vibrant live music venues of Thamel before evolving into one of Nepal's recognized contemporary rock acts.
The band's first stable lineup featured Bishesh Bhandari (vocals/guitars), Sanjay Aryal (bass), Nikesh KC (guitars), and Samyak Pakhrin Lama (drums). Rockheads gained national attention in 2013 when their debut single, For My Love, earned them a finalist position in the Pepsi Voice of Nepal competition, introducing their signature blend of melodic pop-rock to a wider audience.
Following changes in the lineup, the band continued its journey with unwavering dedication. During the 2020 pandemic lockdown, Rockheads reignited their creative momentum by releasing previously unreleased material. Their official single Sidha Kura marked a successful comeback and paved the way for a new chapter in the band's evolution.
In 2021, Rockheads achieved further success with the release of Ranga, an indie-pop anthem that resonated strongly with listeners. Over the years, the band has welcomed new members, expanded its sound, and continued to produce music that connects with audiences across Nepal and beyond.
Today, Rockheads remains committed to creating heartfelt, energetic music, with popular releases including Hajar Janma and the reimagined version of For My Love. Their journey reflects resilience, growth, and a lasting passion for contributing to Nepal's evolving music scene.
